Havana born-New York based, I'm a seasoned music educator and clinician with over 18th years of experience believing in empowering students' abilities and meeting them where they are while helping them to organize efficient practice routines and develop their musical ideas and inner voices into tangible piano materials, compositions and arrangements that can be recorded and/or performed live.
I own a master in composition and music education from Berklee College of Music and have 22 years of professional experience touring the world as a band leader and also sharing the stage with great jazz icons like Chucho Valdes, Christian McBride, Regina Carter.
I believe in empowering students' abilities and meeting them where they are while helping them to organize their musical ideas, inner voices into tangible compositions, arrangements that can be recorded and/or performed live.

In 2015 I created my own curriculum “The Cuban Jazz Academy TCJA” which has benefited over 500 students from Europe, the US, Cuba and LATAM.
My curriculum coaches students to expand your rhythmic vocabulary, latin piano skills, jazz harmony, composition techniques, arrangement in different styles (Pop, Funk, Jazz and Latin) and orchestration.
Ideally you should previously have a good understanding of harmony basics and somewhat a direction of what you want go with your music. I'll take it from there and help you achieve greatness.
