About Eve
Hi there! My name is Eve, I'm a Yale graduate, and I've been a teacher and tutor for 8+ years. I've tutored students through nearly every subject from grade 7 through college, but specialize in teaching math, which was always my least favorite subject until I found a great teacher who encouraged me. I love helping you find the explanation that finally clicks and cheering you on as you learn!

I personalize each lesson to the student, usually creating an instructional worksheet from scratch to provide both instruction and practice for us to work through during the lesson. For students who are struggling to translate understanding of a concept to success in exams and homework, we'll do a lot of homework help -- by working through their assigned problems, I can identify which areas are giving them most trouble as well as where their solving strategies are falling short. Then I can teach new strategies, impart information they're missing, and write more practice problems to cement good habits. Repetition is everything whether learning new material from scratch or trying to improve existing knowledge.
