About Claire
I am a summa cum laude university graduate with a degree in Writing and Journalism and a minor in English. I am currently preparing to begin my Master's in Creative Writing. Additionally, I am an experienced tutor in writing across academic and creative disciplines, and have edited multiple full-length books across genres that are currently on the market. My own writing has won multiple awards within the Writing department at my undergraduate institution and has gotten me admitted to prestigious universities for graduate school. I have dedicated the past four years to studying every facet of the craft of writing and helping other students fulfill their writing potential on assignments, personal statements, application essays, and personal creative writing projects alike. It is my passion to show students that anyone can be a writer and that you have something to say; I am here to help you craft it, or even find it.

Through years working in a university writing center and editing books, I have developed an approach that is largely student-led.
Throughout our session, I can help you with any part of the writing process for any assignment or creative writing goal. Each session can focus on a particular assignment/goal or tips and tricks to address a more general issue you might be encountering in your writing.
Need help getting the ball rolling and want to talk through some ideas? Don't even know where to start? Have your ideas but need help drafting or crafting a logical thesis/outline? Have the whole paper written but need help with citations in any style? Simply want another set of eyes before you hit submit to make sure it's finished and clean? Have a creative writing project in any similar stage? I'm your girl!
I will guide you through the writing process and teach you tips and tricks along the way that will make you a more confident, technically correct writer and thinker.
I want to help you ace that assignment, but it is my ultimate goal to make writing a less daunting process and break it down into simple steps that make the process enjoyable.
