About Will
My warm, supportive and careful approach comes from years of working with fledgling writers in the writer's room of television's "Shortland Street". In my capacity as Story Editor, I worked to get the best out of my writers so they could go on to work in the writer's room full time, or even write episodes of their own. My emphasis is on discovery and uncovering the heart of the story you want to tell. Finding "the grit" of a scene, accessing truthful dialogue and story structure are all tools I will help you implement to unlock your story's potential. Many of us write for fun and with passion, but there's no substitute for the real-world experience of a working screenwriter.

As a full-time screenwriter for the past eight years, I've had plenty of experience leading a team of writers in my role as Story Editor at "Shortland Street". I know how overwhelming it can be to refine a script and I offer guidance to get your work into shape. . I begin with a discussion around your goals for your script. . Workshop key areas of focus (character, narrative, dialogue story structure etc.) . Offer feedback when you are ready to submit your next draft. My tutorials will suit experienced writers looking for feedback on their latest draft, or those entirely new to the process. Writing can be an isolating process, but it doesn't have to be!
