About Jesse
My name is Jesse Shafer - I am a 27-year-old full-time musician and teacher living in Los Angeles. I hold a M.M. and B.A. in guitar performance. I have given over 1,000 live performances, been a part of 4-5 dozen recording projects and have surpassed 10,000 hours of music practice. I have been a teacher for 9 years.

I love to teach and have great relationships with my students. Whether you hope to take lessons out of curiosity or music is your whole life, I can adapt my approach to meet your desires. Regardless, my methodology allows for fast and consistent progress and building confidence and discipline - all the while having a blast!
Above all else, I believe it is my responsibility to deepen my students passion for music and be a positive role model.
