About Michelle
I am a singing tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus on voice. I offer personalized lessons tailored to students of all levels—whether you’re in school, college, or a professional adult learner. My teaching covers a wide range of styles, including classical, pop, movie soundtracks, and folk singing. I am passionate about helping students develop skills in ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory. Building vocal confidence is one of my key goals for every student. I believe every voice is unique and deserves to be nurtured with care and safe vocal techniques. My lessons are interactive and supportive, designed to create a positive learning environment. My singing methodology focuses on vocal wellness and mindfulness to support long-term voice care. For The Soloist in Training, I emphasize gentle warm-ups that prepare the voice without strain. Hydration is key—drinking water regularly keeps the vocal cords healthy. Healthy vocal placement helps avoid tension and promotes clear sound.
For The Church Ensemble Player, group singing requires both vocal strength and mental calm. I encourage mindfulness practices before and after singing to create joy and reduce stress. Breathwork exercises help maintain steady airflow and support powerful, relaxed singing.
Both personas benefit from tracking their vocal progress using apps designed for singers. Mindfulness timers remind students to pause and breathe deeply during practice. Guided breathwork tools assist with focus and relaxation.
Balancing vocal goals with mental calm makes singing more enjoyable and sustainable. I create a positive space where students learn to listen to their bodies and voices. This gentle, caring approach builds confidence and lasting vocal health.
