About Ayla
Chess is more than a game—it’s a tool for sharpening the mind. Over the last 8+ years, I’ve helped students use chess to improve both their playing strength and their thinking skills. I teach you how to spot tactics quickly, calculate with precision, and plan effectively. Lessons begin with core fundamentals, so you have a solid base to build on. From there, we branch into strategic themes like pawn breaks, piece coordination, and dynamic play. I believe that every move should have a purpose, and I train students to think critically before committing. We’ll study instructive master games to learn from the best while applying those lessons to your own play. My methods also focus on time management, especially for faster time controls. I make lessons interactive by encouraging you to explain your thought process during games. This way, I can help fine-tune your decision-making. We’ll practice everything from sharp attacking lines to calm, positional maneuvering. Over time, you’ll notice growth not just in rating points, but in confidence. My aim is to make you a well-rounded player who can adapt to any challenge on the board.

Many players underestimate the endgame, but I make it a central part of my teaching. We start with essential king and pawn endings, then move to rook, minor piece, and queen endgames. Each lesson builds on the last, so you retain and apply what you’ve learned. I use practical examples to show how small advantages become winning positions. You’ll learn the key theoretical positions that every strong player knows. We also work on converting advantages without rushing, building patience and accuracy. Tactics are still part of our training, but they’re focused on common endgame motifs. I teach time management specifically for long, technical endings where precision matters most. Game analysis highlights missed opportunities and good decision-making. I adapt lessons to your style—whether you’re aggressive or prefer solid, positional endings. Over time, you’ll see the endgame as an opportunity, not a risk. The result is a stronger overall game, since you’ll play the middlegame with confidence knowing you can finish well. My goal is to turn endgame nerves into endgame mastery.
