About Nolan
I’m a French tutor with over 3 years of experience and a PhD in French Linguistics. I specialize in working with teenagers aged 13 to 18, making French feel fresh, fun, and relevant. My lessons are rooted in youth culture—featuring popular music, social media trends, and teen-focused films from the Francophone world. We practice phrases and expressions used in food markets, kitchens, and menus across France.
My methodology blends structured grammar with lively conversation. Each session encourages speaking, listening, and responding naturally in everyday food-related situations. I use role-play, visuals, and real menus to build fluency around gastronomy.
I’m especially skilled at supporting The Exam Taker and The Academic/Linguist, guiding them to apply formal language skills in vibrant, real-life contexts. Together, we explore French food culture, traditions, and culinary etiquette. I also introduce key expressions tied to regional dishes and wine pairings.
