About Tess
I have 3 years of experience teaching Singing to High School and College students. Over this time, I have successfully guided around 150 students, helping them discover and develop their unique voices. My passion is to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore their musical abilities. My teaching philosophy centers on understanding each student's individual needs and adapting lessons to match their learning style. I believe in combining technical skill-building with creative expression, so students not only improve their vocal technique but also learn to convey emotions through singing. This balanced approach helps students stay motivated and enjoy their learning journey. One of my notable achievements is helping several students prepare and perform confidently in school concerts and competitions. I focus on building not just their vocal skills but also their stage presence and self-confidence. I am committed to helping every student reach their personal best and develop a lifelong love for music.

My teaching approach to Singing is built on strong Communication, which helps me understand each student’s unique voice and goals. I believe every learner is different, so I use Flexibility to adjust lessons that suit their pace and style. Creativity plays a big role in my teaching, encouraging students to explore their own sound and express emotions freely through music. These qualities help students build confidence and enjoy their learning journey.
Accountability is another key part of my method. I set clear goals with my students and support them in staying focused and committed to practice. This helps them see steady progress and feel proud of their achievements. I also teach Integrity by encouraging respect for the art, discipline in practice, and honesty in self-assessment. These values create a positive learning environment where students grow not only as singers but as individuals.
Besides Singing, I am able to teach related subjects such as music theory and performance skills. This broadens my students’ understanding and helps them become well-rounded musicians. Overall, my methodology combines personal connection, creative freedom, and responsibility, making learning both effective and enjoyable for all students.
