About Tess
Hello, I’m Tess, a Chinese teacher with creativity and an open mind. I hold a Master’s in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Beijing Language and Culture University, ranked number 1 in China. With over 8 years of teaching experience, including 3 years as a teacher trainer, I’ve taught more than 100 students worldwide, ranging from 7 to 70 years old. I’ve provided 2500 hours of online Chinese lessons and 1500 hours of offline lessons, working with unique clients such as an actor, a BBC journalist, German diplomats, and university professors, including from the University of Cambridge. I strive to create a learning environment that’s both engaging and culturally enriching, where students can grow not only in language but also in understanding Chinese culture. I enjoy watching my students make progress and break through their limits in learning.
