About Jennifer
I am a dedicated and experienced piano teacher who believes that every child can learn to play beautifully with the right encouragement and guidance. With over 25 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop strong reading skills, musical understanding, and confidence.
I teach because music has always been an important part of my life, and I want to share that joy with others. There is nothing more rewarding than watching a student master a piece they once found difficult, or seeing their pride after a performance or exam success.

My piano lessons are carefully structured and tailored to each student. We work progressively through well-chosen books, building strong foundations in reading pitch and rhythm from the very beginning.
Students learn to read music confidently by breaking it down step by step, understanding patterns, note relationships, and rhythmic values. I demonstrate musical examples clearly, so pupils can hear and see how the music should sound and feel.
Lessons are highly interactive — we use plenty of singing, clapping, counting, and repetition to internalise rhythm and develop secure note reading. This multi-sensory approach helps students gain confidence, accuracy, and musical fluency.
