My name is Mairebis Castillo Coca, and I am a Women's FIDE Master (WFM) since 2010, with multiple WGM and WIM norms and more than 20 years of experience as both a competitive player and professional chess coach.
I was a member of the Cuban National Junior Team for six consecutive years and have represented my country in numerous national and international competitions. Throughout my chess career, I have earned extensive experience competing at a high level and working with players of different ages and skill levels.
In addition to my playing achievements, I hold an International FIDE Instructor title and have completed several advanced courses in high-performance chess training and chess arbitration. My coaching background includes more than two decades of experience teaching both competitive and educational chess in Cuba, Mexico, and the United States.
I specialize in working with children, scholastic players, adult beginners, and tournament competitors. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs and focus on developing tactical vision, strategic understanding, calculation skills, opening preparation, endgame technique, and overall confidence at the board.
Whether your goal is to learn the fundamentals, improve your online rating, prepare for tournaments, or achieve long-term competitive success, I am committed to helping you reach your full potential while making the learning process engaging and enjoyable.
