About Oliver
A-level and GCSE Spanish tutor, with a very good proficiency in the language, experienced as a teaching assistant of two large Spanish classes and as a teacher of a specialised adult beginners groups at university. Well travelled throughout Spain with a good understanding of the Spanish language and culture. I am currently studying history modules in Spanish at the Complutense in Madrid. Whilst I am a young tutor, I'm dynamic and good at teaching people of a similar age, having completed the A level examinations myself recently. I am reading Spanish and History at UCL. I can tutor closely to the A level and GCSE spec, including the literature and film aspects of the exams. Classes will comprise detailed grammar explanations, listening and reading practice, essay writing and structure, alongside extensive speaking practice for the independent research project. I am also competent in teaching A-level History and English literature. Tutoring in these subjects will be less closely associated with the specification but will rather look at good historical practices and focus on advanced writing techniques in order to improve essay writing skills.
