I taught myself everything I know by building things. That's what we would do together, unless you need help with something specific.
If we build something from scratch:
1. Pick something to build
2. Define the scope & technologies we will start with
3. Start building something, stopping along the way to explore some difficult concepts in depth
4. Finish by going over what we learned, and trying to explain what we did and why we did it
Otherwise, if you need help with something more specific, we can just focus on smaller modules, although still in the format of learning by building.
