My teaching approach centers on transforming technique into storytelling through sound. I guide students to imagine the violin as a voice capable of painting vivid musical pictures. Each phrase becomes a brushstroke, each tone color a shade that brings emotion to life.
Through phrasing techniques, dramatic bow strokes, and expressive nuance, I help students shape music with intention and feeling. We explore how subtle shifts in dynamics or vibrato can convey tension, release, or joy. Emotional contouring becomes a tool to make each performance unique and compelling.
I encourage students to connect deeply with the narrative behind the music, turning technical exercises into moments of expression. Tone, articulation, and timing are all trained to support the story they want to tell. Even early-stage players learn how to evoke imagery and emotion in their playing.
By combining imagination with disciplined practice, students grow into confident musicians who communicate through their instrument. I support them in developing both precision and artistry, transforming notes on a page into experiences that move listeners. Every lesson is an opportunity to explore sound, emotion, and storytelling together.

I am a dedicated violin tutor with 10 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music Education in Strings – Violin. My passion lies in fostering collaboration and musical growth through group instruction. I specialize in ensemble classes, orchestral sectionals, and chamber music coaching, helping students learn to play with awareness and cohesion.
Over the years, I have worked extensively with youth orchestras and school ensembles, guiding young musicians to perform confidently and expressively. I focus on cultivating listening skills, tuning accuracy, and sensitivity to group dynamics. My students learn how to blend their sound, support one another, and contribute meaningfully to the ensemble.
I coach students to step into roles such as concertmaster, encouraging poise, responsibility, and musical authority. Through structured rehearsals and tailored exercises, they grow both technically and artistically.
I believe that ensemble playing teaches discipline, empathy, and communication alongside musical skill. My goal is to help students discover their voice within the group while contributing to a shared, inspiring musical experience. Together, we build not only strong musicians but confident, collaborative performers.
