About Ana

Hello! My name is Ana, but my students call me Ms. Ana. I am a practicing artist by day and an Art teacher by night!

In 2012, I worked as a Daycare Assistant at the Royal Daycare & Learning Center in Mississauga, ON. I cared for large groups of children with fun-directed activities, including nature walks, arts and crafts, and snack time.

I have been the Art Teacher at Canada's School of Music and Arts since 2016. I teach private lessons for any age group. I am responsible for creating lessons and curricula and helping students develop their artistic skills by drawing, painting, and sketching. I am proud of making lesson plans for my students, in which we explore different mediums, such as; watercolor paint, pastels, colored pencils and pencils.

My teaching philosophy is based on finding your confidence as a growing artist. Through constructive criticism and confidence building, anyone can learn!

Some fun facts about me:
-I am a native Spanish speaker, was born in Guatemala.
-I have a big white dog that I love dearly! His name is Keenai.
-My favorite food is Indian and Greek.
-I love video games and Pokémon.
