About Curtis
I am a dedicated **Violin tutor with over 6 years of experience**, committed to helping students of all levels—from beginners to advanced learners—develop strong musical and technical skills. Over the years, I have taught 200 to 300 students, guiding them through the fundamentals of violin as well as advanced techniques, ensuring they gain both theoretical understanding and practical performance ability. My mission is to make learning violin engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s unique musical goals.
My teaching style focuses on personalized learning, adapting lessons to suit different learning speeds, musical backgrounds, and goals. I emphasize a hands-on approach that combines bowing techniques, finger placement, scales, and real-piece practice so students can apply what they learn immediately. This approach not only builds strong technical foundation but also develops rhythm, intonation, and expressive musicality.
In addition to core violin training, I also offer guidance in classical performance, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, and stage preparation, ensuring a holistic learning experience. My unique strength lies in breaking down complex techniques into simple, structured steps while fostering patience, creativity, and confidence in my students.
