About Calla
I am a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and hold a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My background is rooted in classical training, giving students a strong technical foundation. I help learners explore modern expression on the violin, combining tradition with creativity. Lessons focus on bowing technique, vibrato, phrasing, and interpretation across Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic styles. I have extensive experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, ensuring they build confidence and achieve their performance goals. I also guide students in orchestral coaching, helping them develop ensemble skills, sight-reading, and stage presence. My teaching emphasizes precision, musicality, and expressive freedom. Students learn to combine technical mastery with emotional storytelling through music. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and interests, fostering both skill development and personal musical expression. I encourage exploration, improvisation, and connection to the music, helping students find their unique voice on the violin.
