About Nora
I have 12 years of experience teaching violin and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and Violin Pedagogy. My approach blends rigorous technical instruction with supportive guidance, helping students gain confidence and musical independence at every stage of learning.
Over the years, I have worked with learners ranging from beginners to advanced students preparing for auditions, competitions, and recitals. I focus on building a solid foundation in technique while encouraging expressive interpretation, creative exploration, and disciplined practice habits. My lessons are structured, engaging, and personalized to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
Teaching violin is deeply rewarding because it allows me to witness students grow both technically and artistically. I help them develop musical sensitivity, performance poise, and the ability to convey emotion through their instrument. My violin lessons are designed to cultivate both technical skill and expressive artistry, helping students progress steadily while enjoying the learning process. Each session covers posture, fingerboard navigation, bowing techniques, intonation, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical interpretation. I integrate scales, etudes, repertoire, and improvisation to create lessons that are challenging yet accessible, encouraging students to develop musical independence and confidence.
Lessons are carefully tailored to each student’s level and goals. Beginners start with fundamental exercises, simple melodies, and basic rhythm practice to develop accuracy, coordination, and confidence. Intermediate learners advance to more complex pieces, intricate bowing techniques, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation. Advanced students focus on solo repertoire, technical refinement, ensemble preparation, and performance readiness. Each session emphasizes consistency, attention to detail, and expressive musicality.
Beyond technique, my lessons aim to nurture creativity, stage presence, and emotional connection to music. Students learn to communicate through their instrument, translating technical ability into expressive performance. By combining structured guidance, practical exercises, and creative exploration, learners develop both skill and artistry, leaving each lesson motivated, inspired, and better equipped to achieve their musical ambitions.
