About Zeb
I’m a full-time tutor at a UK Further Education college and a second-year undergraduate currently studying for a BA in History. With a diverse background in education, I’ve taught learners of mixed abilities — from school-age students preparing for exams to adult learners building new skills.
Alongside academic tutoring, I’ve also coached entrepreneurs in how to secure new clients and communicate their ideas with confidence. This experience shapes my approach to tutoring: it’s all about unlocking potential, building confidence, and helping each student discover what they’re capable of.
I love to inspire — and to be inspired. Tutoring and coaching are two-way streets where learning flows both ways. I bring energy, empathy, and structure to every session, helping learners not only achieve their goals but also gain insight into how they learn best. Whether you're preparing for GCSEs, building your essay-writing skills, or growing your confidence in a subject you’ve struggled with, I’m here to support and guide you every step of the way.

I take a creative, student-centred approach to history tutoring that blends storytelling, role-playing, and critical thinking to bring the past to life. By encouraging learners to imagine what it would have been like to live during times of war, famine, or social upheaval, I help them develop empathy and a deeper understanding of historical contexts.
Through guided narrative writing and immersive tasks, students explore the complexities and human experiences behind historical events. For example, they may write personal accounts from the perspective of individuals who lived through the Blitz, the Black Death, or the trenches of World War I. These activities enable students to personalise their learning, building both historical understanding and literacy skills.
I also challenge students to look beyond the headlines—encouraging them to question decisions, consider alternative outcomes, and explore historical ‘what if?’ scenarios (e.g., “What if Germany had won the First World War?”). This cultivates independent thought, curiosity, and analytical reasoning.
As students grow in confidence, they learn to support their arguments with credible research and evidence, developing skills in source evaluation, argumentation, and historical interpretation—key components of GCSE and A-level success. My aim is to make history meaningful, memorable, and intellectually rewarding.
