About Rushil
Hi, I'm Rushil! I’m a USC graduate with a degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, and I currently work as a Software Engineer. My academic background and professional experience have given me a strong foundation in programming and computer science, particularly Python and software development.
I understand that programming can be intimidating when the fundamentals aren't clear, so I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and learn at their own pace. My goal is not just to help students get through an assignment, but to help them genuinely understand the concepts and become more confident programmers.
Whether you're completely new to programming or taking a college-level computer science course, I’ll tailor each lesson to your experience and goals. I’m patient, approachable, and committed to making every lesson productive and worthwhile.

My approach to tutoring is focused on making programming concepts clear, practical, and easy to understand. As a USC Computer Science graduate and working Software Engineer, I bring both an academic foundation and real-world experience to each lesson. Rather than simply giving students the answer, I focus on helping them understand why something works so they can apply the concept independently.
A typical lesson starts by identifying what the student is struggling with and reviewing the relevant fundamentals. We then work through examples together, gradually moving from guided practice to solving problems independently. For programming, I like to use real code and hands-on exercises so students can immediately apply what they learn.
My lessons are primarily designed for beginners, high school students, and college students taking introductory programming or computer science courses. I can help with Python fundamentals, functions, data structures, object-oriented programming, debugging, and general programming concepts. I can also help students understand coursework and projects while making sure they develop the skills to solve similar problems on their own.
What sets me apart is that I understand programming from both sides: I have studied computer science academically and now use programming professionally as a Software Engineer. I aim to make lessons patient, collaborative, and practical, while adapting the pace and explanations to each student's individual needs.
