About Sophia
Hello, my name is Sophia, and I am currently undertaking a degree of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of New South Wales. I studied four-unit English, Modern History, Legal Studies, Mathematics Standard, and Studies of Religion throughout my HSC years (Year 11 and 12), and have a particular passion for English.
I love to read, bake and listen to music when I am not studying, and am particularly fond of classic literature. But my truest love is genuinely learning and expanding all facets of my mind, so to be given the opportunity to help others do the same is truly exciting!

I am a recent high school graduate who received an ATAR of 92.5, 3 band-six's, and four band-fives. I am able to tutor anyone from years 9 to 12 by the NSW curriculum in English (all levels, Modern History, and Legal Studies).
I like to take a very methodological approach to tutoring, by aiding my students in further developing first their comprehension skills, which is a vital aspect to all areas of study - particularly essay writing, which is obviously crucial to success in the HSC.
My lessons will generally go for 1 hour, as I feel this gives me and my students a good amount of time for us to identify areas for improvement within the student's schoolwork, and then work towards helping them become more confident within their comprehension and writing.
