About Huiling
Hi! My name is Huiling and I am currently studying the Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine (Lateral Entry) at UNSW. I graduated in 2019 with an ATAR of 96.15 and finished as Proxime Accessit of my cohort.
My HSC marks were:
English Advanced: 84 (Band 5)
Mathematics Advanced: 95 (Band 6)

I am currently offering tutoring for the following HSC subjects: Chemistry (new syllabus) and Biology (new syllabus).
As a relatively recent graduate, I am familiar with the stress and pressures that students undergo in their final years of school. I have also had previous tutoring experience as a private tutor for more than 3 years which enabled me to acquire important tutoring skills such as communication, patience, dedication and organisation. Being a student who has had tutoring in my final year of high school and having a good outcome because of good tutors. I know how important it is for tutors to teach the right information in the right way without making it too hard for students to understand. Hence as a tutor I will focus on a more practical way of learning and studying through the use of practice questions and papers. Which differs from the usual way of learning and studying through memorizing extensive quantites of notes that leads to unnecessary stress for students.
During my HSC, I studied the new science syllabuses therefore I am very familiar with the syllabus content and the format of new exams that focuses more on practical content. Thus for Chemistry and Biology, I will provide new syllabus notes that I have used throughout my studies and help students with composing Band 6 responses to the new syllabus HSC questions. A new component of the syllabus is the requirement of Depth Studies both in Yr 11 and Yr 12 which can have a total weighting up to 40%. I am able to provide help and editing for the depth studies and ensure that my student achieves the highest possible marks that they can.
Rates:
One hour: $60 per hour
Two hours: $55 per hour
Home visits: $65 per hour (for transport)
