About Amos
For the past 12 years, I have focused on teaching American Sign Language (ASL) to help people communicate better and be more inclusive. My main aim is to create an environment where everyone, no matter their background or abilities, can connect and understand each other through ASL. As a volunteer and tutor, I have helped people who are deaf and couldn't attend regular special schools. I taught them ASL so they could communicate with others, and I also helped them with reading and writing. I have also assisted their parents, siblings, and friends to communicate with and understand them. I have organized after-school classes for the deaf to support them with their assignments and more.

I integrate cultural lessons into my curriculum, including the history of ASL, Deaf community norms, and Deaf literature and arts. Interactive Activities: To make learning engaging and effective, I use interactive activities such as role-playing, group discussions, storytelling, and sign language games. These activities not only make learning fun but also encourage active participation and collaboration among students.
Technology and Resources: I leverage technology to enhance the learning experience, utilizing online platforms, video resources, and ASL apps. These tools provide students with additional practice opportunities and access to a wealth of ASL content outside of the classroom.
Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of ASL courses, from beginner to advanced levels, catering to different age groups and professional backgrounds.
