My name is Surbhi Manchanda. As a qualified educator with a Master's degree in Computer Applications and over 10 years of hands-on teaching experience, I bring both technical expertise and a deep passion for making programming accessible and enjoyable. I have done Master's Degree in Computer Applications (MCA) with 10+ years of experience teaching programming to school and college students, as well as working professionals. My teaching approach is interactive, hands-on, and tailored to the learner’s pace and goals. I use the following methods: 1. Concept-Based Learning: I ensure students fully understand the "why" behind every concept before moving to the "how". 2. Project-Oriented Practice: Each topic is paired with real-world mini-projects to apply skills immediately (e.g., building calculators, web apps, games). 3. Visual & Practical Tools: I integrate live coding sessions, flowcharts, debugging exercises, and code visualization tools. 4. Adaptive Learning: I adjust the pace and content based on the student’s performance, feedback, and confidence. 5. Encouraging Logical Thinking: I focus on developing computational and problem-solving skills alongside syntax. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with: a) 10 minutes review of previous concepts or quiz b) 35–40 minutes of concept explanation and interactive coding c) 10–15 minutes of hands-on tasks or Q&A I am proficient in Python, Java, C++, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and basic data structures and algorithms. I have taught over 300+ students online, helping many transition into coding roles or excel in academic assessments. I am familiar with curricula like CBSE, IGCSE, IB, university-level syllabi, and popular online platforms like Code.org, Scratch, and PythonAnywhere.
