About Michael
I am currently studying at the University of Warwick and have over six years of tutoring experience. I achieved A* grades in both A-Level Economics and Geography, as well as Grade 9s across all of my GCSEs, including Geography.
I have taught students both online and in person, in classroom settings and through one-to-one private tutoring. This has allowed me to work with a wide range of students, from those needing support with the fundamentals to those aiming for the highest grades. My students have gone on to achieve A and A* Economics grades, and I take pride in helping them build both confidence and exam technique.
Having achieved top grades myself, I understand what is required to succeed, but more importantly, I know how to teach those methods in a clear and practical way. I focus on making Economics feel logical and accessible, helping students move beyond memorising content so they can apply theory effectively in essays, diagrams and evaluation.
I care deeply about each student’s progress. I set regular homework, use past papers and mark schemes to monitor improvement, and communicate with parents regularly so they are kept updated on progress, strengths and areas to improve. My goal is to help every student feel more confident, more prepared and capable of reaching their full potential.

My lessons are designed for A-Level Economics students who want to build strong foundations, improve exam technique, and become more confident in applying economic theory.
I break topics down step by step, making sure students properly understand the core principles before moving on to more complex analysis and evaluation. Economics can often feel abstract, so I make it relatable by linking concepts to real-world examples that connect to the student’s own life and interests.
My teaching style is structured, exam-focused, and highly interactive. Each lesson is typically one hour long and combines theory, worked examples, past-paper questions, mark schemes, and exemplar answers. I place a strong emphasis on helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for, including how to structure essays, build chains of analysis, use diagrams effectively, and develop strong evaluation.
I have over six years of tutoring experience and achieved an A* in A-Level Economics myself using the same techniques I now teach. My goal is to help students move from simply memorising content to genuinely understanding economics and applying it confidently in exams.
