About Sarah
Hi! I’m a University of Toronto graduate with an Honours Bachelor of Science, specializing in Neuroscience with a double minor in Biology and Physiology. I’m currently pursuing my second degree in Medical Radiation Sciences, specializing in Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, through the University of Toronto and The Michener Institute. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, physiology, anatomy, mathematics, and the medical sciences. Throughout my studies, I’ve developed a genuine passion for understanding the science behind how things work, and I hope to share that same curiosity with my students. Outside of academics, I have experience working with children and young people through coaching, mentoring, and leading youth programs. These experiences have strengthened my communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt to different personalities and learning styles. I understand that learning doesn’t always come easily, and I believe that struggling with a subject is often a matter of finding the right approach rather than lacking ability. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities. More than anything, I want to help students discover that science and mathematics aren’t just subjects to pass, but opportunities to think critically, ask questions, and better understand the world around them.

I tailor each lesson to the student’s course, goals, and learning style. Rather than simply giving answers, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind difficult concepts so they can apply them independently.
Students are welcome to bring lecture notes, worksheets, assignments, practice questions, or upcoming test material. I can also help identify gaps in foundational knowledge and build a study plan around them.
My lessons may include concept review, guided practice, exam preparation, active recall, and study strategies. I especially enjoy teaching biology, neuroscience, health sciences, anatomy, and related science subjects.
My goal is to make challenging material feel much more manageable and help students leave each session feeling more confident about what they are learning.
