About Aaron
Hi there! I'm Aaron, a third-year engineering student at the University of Toronto, and I'm thrilled to offer my expertise as a computer science, computer programming, and machine learning tutor. As an engineering student, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, computer science, and other core sciences. I am currently specializing in biomedical engineering. This specialization has given me a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter and the ability to break down complex concepts into simpler, more manageable ideas. I understand the struggles of being a student and want to make the learning process easier. I'm able to adapt my teaching style (lesson plans vs question review) to best suit the needs of the student.
I have experience in software development/engineering and have taken a number of courses relating to data structures, algorithms, front-end design, data analysis, machine learning, and optimization. As such, I am able to tutor students taking high-school and university-level introductory computer science and programming classes in Python, C/C++, MATLAB, HTML/CSS/Javascript, and Arduino. Aaron tutored my daughter in grade 9 science (atoms, molecules, etc), for the entire 2020-2021 school year (didn't meet through this platform). The tutoring sessions were both in-person and online, depending on the COVID restrictions and availability. He was an excellent tutor; sometimes tutors have communication challenges, but sitting in on his lessons I realized that he was able to communicate his thoughts clearly. Even I learned about science sitting in on those sessions. Without a doubt, I would recommend Aaron for grade 9 science, but have tremendous confidence that he would be a good tutor for other STEM subjects as well.
Aaron tutored my son in grade 11 and 12 IB math for a little over a year. He had an excellent understanding of the content, and was able to lift my son's math grades enough to get him into his 1st choice university program. I'm thankful for the continuous support Aaron gave and would certainly recommend him to students looking for support in math.
