About Esther
I am currently a university student student studying theatre. I took French as a GCSE and really enjoyed it because of the amount of engagement my teacher provided in the lessons and as a cause of this want to make learning a language not only informative but also interesting for my students.
My previous tutees have said that I move at a pace that is suitable for them and that with my guidance and my advice from my experience in exams, they have been able to gain marks in exams where they struggled.
I am very open to dedicating specific lessons to whatever you, as a student, would like to focus on and/or you feel as though need to develop upon.

I provide French lessons for Secondary school students aged 11-16. Typical length of a lesson would be 1 hour however I can and would be happy to do more hours if you / your child would like extra help or guidance for an exam.
I have a grade 8 (A*) in GCSE French and I am from a Francophone country so familiar with French.
Things my lessons would contain/go through:
- vocabulary - tenses - grammar - pronunciation (speaking) - exam questions (especially for current GCSE French students) - reading - listening
I also provide aid with homework (if requested)
My lessons for students in year 7 - 8 are based mainly on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, spelling and writing useful phrases / sentences in French.
For students in year 9 - 11, my lessons will focus on developing already known phrases, tenses and vocabulary as well as recapping the basics. In addition to this, exam practice and exam walk throughs / guidance will be done. Focus will also be on being able to comprehend, and read French as well as translating from French to English and visa versa.
I used to tutor the students in younger years when I was in secondary school and the feedback I had received were all positive and they saw improvements in their grades.
