About Lauren
I am a student in my second year at Dalhousie University, majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology. I have taken a range of science courses during my studies here, from general biology and chemistry, to more specialized classes like analytical chemistry, genetics, organic chemistry, and biochemistry. I have experience in a variety of labs, analyzing experimental data, writing scientific reports, and studying for big exams! I may not have previous experience in tutoring explicitly, however I have experience in study groups and helping friends gain understanding in studies whenever the opportunity approached. I have always loved helping others learn, as it reinforces the knowledge and understanding within my education!

The foundation to my teaching comes from understanding exactly what part of a topic or problem prompts confusion in students. Beyond the root of confusion, I aim to gain a comprehensive outline of each individuals most effective learning approaches. Through insight in both the appropriate teaching style and the exact cause of confusion, I hope to devise an organized and personal explanation, along with supporting practice.
