About Nakiya

Hello, my name is Nakiya, and I am a university student with a strong academic background in English. I have always valued clear communication and the confidence that comes from expressing yourself well.

I chose to teach because I understand how frustrating English can feel when concepts are unclear or when confidence is low. With the right guidance and encouragement, every student can improve — not just in grades, but in how they feel about their abilities.

I am patient, organised, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace. My goal is to help students become independent, confident learners who feel proud of their improvement.

I take my responsibility as a tutor seriously and approach each lesson with preparation, professionalism, and genuine care for my students’ development.

About the lesson

I believe effective English learning comes from understanding, confidence, and consistent practice, not memorisation. My lessons are structured but flexible, allowing me to adapt my teaching style to each student’s pace, strengths, and learning needs.
I focus on clear explanations, practical examples, and guided practice to help students feel comfortable using English in real situations. I encourage questions and create a supportive environment where students feel confident making mistakes and learning from them.

Teaching Methodology & Lesson Structure:
• Each lesson is student-centred and personalised. Sessions typically include:
• A short warm-up or review
• Focused work on reading, writing, grammar, or speaking
• Practice exercises and discussion
• Feedback and simple take-away tips for improvement

Lessons usually last 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted depending on the student’s age and concentration level.

Qualifications & Experience:
I have a strong academic English background and experience with exam-style reading, writing, and comprehension. As a university student, I understand how students learn best today and aim to make lessons engaging, clear, and pressure-free while still being goal-oriented.

My lessons are suitable for:

• Learners who struggle with confidence in English
