About Olivia
I am a 22-year-old history student with a strong interest in education and a clear goal of becoming a teacher after graduating. I have classroom experience through university placement, where I supported pupils with their learning and gained hands-on experience in lesson delivery and classroom routines. I am patient, approachable, and confident working with children, supported by my experience with children within my own family. Outside of my studies, I enjoy embroidery, gaming, and nature walks, which help me bring creativity, balance, and enthusiasm into my teaching approach.

My passion is to make learning fun and as simple as possible.
Phonics and reading will be taught through personalised, one-to-one sessions tailored to the child’s individual needs and ability. Lessons will focus on developing secure letter sound recognition, blending for reading, and segmenting for spelling using clear explanations and repetition. A range of engaging texts and activities will be used to build confidence, fluency, and comprehension, while ongoing assessment will inform future sessions and ensure steady progress in reading skills.
