About Miryam
My name is Miryam, I am 21 years old and I am currently a student of Languages, Foreign Literatures and techniques of linguistic mediation. I attended the Liceo Linguistico and I graduated with full marks.
I have always been a great lover of foreign languages: for me they are like a "bridge", a means capable of connecting completely different worlds and fostering personal growth thanks to contact with new cultures.
I am a very empathic, human, dynamic and flexible person, able to adapt quickly to any circumstance. I love multiculturalism and diversity for the contribution of growth they can offer. I love to read (especially poetry) and write whatever comes to mind.
I have always liked to offer a helping hand in the study to my friends or colleagues so I decided to start giving real repetitions in order to set aside some savings for my Erasmus trip.
I have had experiences as a summer entertainer and have always been surrounded by guys of all ages; moreover, in the past I had already happened to follow primary school children helping them with their homework.

The approach to the subjects is neither structured nor fixed but I try to adapt it to the needs of each individual student. An individual approach is in fact the key to effective study, with tailor-made lessons for each student in relation to age, character, personal aptitudes, potential and starting skills.
The duration of the lesson also varies according to the student's ability to concentrate.
The lessons are organized in a work plan established together with the student and based on his main needs, in order to understand how to best address the study of the subject and fill any gaps in the shortest possible time.
In particular, in the teaching of foreign languages in addition to traditional learning (carried out with exercises in grammar and listening, reading and understanding of texts through the use of books and other supports) I always undertake to integrate extra didactic materials such as songs , films and articles relating to the passions of the student in order to involve him directly and stimulate his attention more, while at the same time enhancing the linguistic competence as a whole.
The lessons are based on an informal relationship, so that the student can immediately feel at ease. This is because I consider it essential that a relationship of trust and mutual respect is established between the teacher and the student, in an environment open to dialogue and listening, far from the "rigidity" of the school.
