About Jaana
Hi! I’m Dr. Jaana Esmaeili, a neuroscientist and educator with over 15 years of experience in teaching and research. I hold a PhD in Neuroscience and currently work as a researcher at the University of Toronto. My academic journey began in Iran, where I was a university professor, published multiple scientific articles, and mentored many students. After moving to Canada, I continued my research in brain development, learning, and behavior—while also raising two children, which deepened my appreciation for how the brain grows and learns in real life!
