Indu Bala Associate Professor (History) | Officiating Principal | Youth Mentor | UGC NET Qualified M.A. & M.Phil. in History, GNDU Amritsar I am Indu Bala, an enthusiastic and seasoned educator with over 26 years of experience in teaching History, currently serving as Associate Professor and Officiating Principal at Mata Ganga Girls College, Tarn Taran. I hold a Master of Arts and M.Phil. in History from Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, and have also qualified UGC NET in History, affirming my eligibility for higher education teaching and research roles. Throughout my career, I have not only focused on academic excellence but also actively contributed to youth development, cultural enrichment, and social responsibility. I have: Successfully mentored students in historical studies, critical thinking, and research. Coordinated cultural and youth festivals at university and inter-zonal levels, earning accolades in performing arts, literature, and theater. Organized and led over 50+ heritage events, self-defense workshops, and sports training programs to support student growth. Served as NSS Programme Officer and NCC Caretaker, mobilizing youth for social service, health drives, and disaster relief efforts. Received multiple letters of appreciation from the Department of Higher Education, Punjab, for contributions to gross enrollment in higher education. Held key roles in academic and administrative bodies including Board of Studies, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, and Executive Board of Sports (Women) at GNDU.
