About Alia Fatima
I am a dedicated online writing scholar and educator with over six years of teaching experience and a PhD. Before joining the faculty at the University of Maryland, I spent years teaching K–8 students how to master foundational writing. Today, I work virtually with learners at every stage—from young students building basic sentence mechanics to graduate scholars writing complex master's theses and doctoral dissertations.
