About Hazel
[Now taking on students for the 2026/2027 law application cycle]
I'm a BA Jurisprudence (Law) and MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice graduate from the University of Oxford with a passion for motivating students to reach their aspirations. I utilize my own experiences and insight - both as a tutor and as a previous law applicant myself - throughout the admissions tutoring I offer.
I have taught over 300 lessons on other tutoring platforms, as well as partaking in various in-person academic outreach programmes. This experience has revealed to me that the most successful entrance admissions tutoring balances a structured programme with the unique needs of individual students. You can therefore expect tutoring with me to follow a proven content schedule, with flexibility for intense focus on those areas that are of particular concern to you.

As mentioned in the previous section, my tutoring follows a structured programme that is reflexive to the particular concerns of students. The following provides insight into the standard programme I offer, with the possibility of modification and/or extension:
Lesson 1 (30 Minutes - free): Getting to know you, your aspirations and sketching the application landscape.
Lesson 2: College/University Choices, Legal Curiosity and Personal Statement Objectives
Lesson 3: Mock Interview I [30 minute interview with 30 minute feedback]
Lesson 4: Personal Statement Check-In
Lesson 5: Mock Interview II [30 minute interview with 30 minute feedback]
I know how important it is to have a grounded and empathetic tutor during the university admissions process; it can be, after all, an intimidating process for even the most well prepared applicants. I ensure that my feedback and lesson planning is therefore both supportive and realistic.
