About Nandini Premraj
I am a university mathematics student with a strong foundation in both high school and introductory university-level math. I understand that many students struggle not because they are incapable, but because math is often taught in a way that prioritizes memorization over understanding. My approach focuses on building clear intuition, breaking problems down step by step, and helping students truly grasp the underlying concepts.
I tutor high school students as well as first-year university students in courses such as calculus, algebra, and related foundational topics. I tailor each session to the student’s pace and learning style, whether the goal is catching up on concepts, preparing for exams, or gaining confidence in problem-solving

We begin by identifying what concepts feel unclear and what the student is currently working on, whether that is homework, assignments, or exam preparation. From there, I explain ideas step by step, focusing on understanding the reasoning behind each method rather than memorizing formulas.
Lessons typically involve guided problem-solving, where we work through examples together and gradually move toward the student solving problems independently with support. I encourage questions throughout the session and adjust the pace as needed to ensure the student feels comfortable and confident.
