About Kali
Hello! I'm Kalinah (Kali) White, a University of Maryland graduate, Certified ESL Specialist, and Science of Reading educator with over seven years of tutoring experience helping students unlock their full academic potential.
I specialize in reading, writing, mathematics, English as a Second Language (ESL), study skills, and academic support for elementary, middle school, high school, and adult learners. Whether your goal is catching up, getting ahead, homeschooling, or building confidence, I create personalized lessons designed around each student's unique learning style.
My instruction is grounded in the Science of Reading and incorporates Orton-Gillingham principles, making my lessons especially effective for students with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, learning differences, and English language learners. I love working with Kali! She’s the most patient, kind, and supportive tutor that I’ve ever studied with.
