About Julia
I am a medical student, with a sound general understanding of biology, and with detailed understanding of human physiology and anatomy.
I have provided teaching for my peers on a variety of biological topics, and I enjoy coming up with innovative ways to help people understand and remember difficult subjects.

I shape my teaching around the individual. My general approach is to give a broad overview of a subject as a foundation, and then to gradually build on this with more detailed information. I prefer my teaching to be interactive, and so I encourage questions. I am open to teaching an entire topic, or just to provide one-off guidance regarding a particular question or difficulty. We can liaise over what you hope to get out of the tutoring, and formulate a plan together.
I feel strongly that in order to learn something, one must believe that they have the capacity to do so. My teaching is therefore based on positive reinforcement (pointing out what the student is doing well) and kindness. I am not strict, but I will encourage the student to challenge themselves.
