About Kate
Hello! My name is Kate and I am a third-level English student available to tutor in the subject. I believe that anyone can greatly improve their English by learning key language skills and applying themselves. I work very hard to ensure that my students achieve their best possible results, while learning in a positive and nurturing environment. I have a genuine passion for English which I endeavour to pass on to my students.

- I teach English from primary school to Leaving Cert level.
- I believe in creating a positive, light-hearted learning environment!
- I am available to teach exam coursework, exam techniques, and grade-improving skills.
- I place great emphasis on improving one's general command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and sentence structure.
- I am well-versed in English literature, including Shakespreare and poetry. I also have experience in creative writing and essay writing.
- I edit essays and assignments and provide detailed feedback to the student.
- A typical lesson ranges from 45-90 minutes. However, I can accomodate lesson lengths that suit the particular student.
- I teach students of any ability, from those who struggle with the language to those looking to achieve a top grade.
- I am currently studying English at third-level, where I achieved a first-class honours in the subject in my first year. I also achieved a H1 in my Leaving Cert and, in my CAT4 assessment, was placed in the 98th percentile for Verbal Reasoning.
