About Indigo
Hi there! My name is Indigo and I'm an International Relations student at the University of Edinburgh, originally from New York. I have been studying Spanish for 8 years and spent my final two years of high school living in Madrid, Spain, where I attended the Spanish secondary school Liceo Europeo. I thoroughly enjoy speaking, writing, and reading in Spanish, and am excited to help others broaden their linguistic horizons.

I like to tailor my classes to the student's wants and needs. At the beginning of the first session we would check in about what their goals are, their current proficiency level, and what style of learning suits them best. That being said, I often place an importance on learning verb conjugations (so much of the language is based on verbs) through memory exercises, and fill in the rest with short readings and a lot of fun conversation. Once we get the basics down I find it quite enjoyable to pick topics to talk about that appeal to my student. Are you into anime? Adventure books? Rock climbing? The best way to learn a language is to dive right in, and it's easier to do so when the water feels more inviting!
