About Marina
Hello there! I am a full-time Assistant Headteacher currently working at an independent school in London. I work with pupils from Nursery to Year 6 and specialise in English as well as examination preparation. I completed my PGCE and subsequent Masters in Education at the University of Cambridge. My undergraduate was in History at the University of Edinburgh and I am extremely confident working with children with a variety of needs and abilities and pride myself on engaging pupils creatively, so they feel confident and empowered to challenge themselves. My foundational philosophy is that: A child will not learn unless they feel supported and championed by their teacher. Due to this, I plan my tutoring around a pupil’s specific interests so pupils enjoy the sessions, feel supported and from this make rapid lasting progress. University : - University of Edinburgh - History [2:1] - University of Cambridge - Primary PGCE - University of Cambridge - Masters In Education [Distinction ] School : A Levels - History [A*] - English [A*] - Politics [A]

Marina uses her training from Cambridge University and her strong academic background to use current and research based pedagogical approaches in her tutoring. She is ADORED by her students. They keep asking if they can write her postcards! I couldn’t recommend a tutor more highly.
Marina helped prepare my daughter with the 11+ preparation and it really made a difference being a teacher tutor with her experience from school teaching. She is an extremely academic primary teacher, very kind and personable and made my daughter feel at ease throughout their sessions. She was also very organised, up to date and reliable - highly recommend!
