About Amy
During my own GCSEs I had mixed feelings about studying; I loved the subjects I was naturally good at, and hated the ones I wasn't. Whether you already enjoy History and want to improve your skills, or find it the most challenging of your subjects, I am excited to work with you to find out how we can adapt learning to improve your experience as a student.
I can also help with the transition from GCSE to A Level study, having studied History for both, and give advice on university applications. I am familiar with mark schemes and grade boundaries, and can help you find what's needed to get yourself over the line from one boundary to another.
I still love studying history and am excited to find out more about whatever period you are studying for your course!

I am friendly, welcoming and love to inspire my students to achieve their best. As someone with ADHD, I am sensitive to the individual needs of each student and happy to discuss what will work best for you in terms of lesson structure.
I achieved A* grades in History GCSE and A Level, and am confident teaching students in Years 10-13. I am a BA and MPhil graduate in History from Cambridge University, and I am also happy to offer Oxbridge/university application advice.
A typical lesson would start with me setting small, manageable tasks and offering constructive feedback to address issues and build confidence, allowing students to learn by doing rather than simply listening to a lecture. I can be flexible with lesson length depending on what suits each student, but would usually suggest 1 hour.
I will never use AI in any part of the tuition process.
