About Clara
I began my higher education studying a degree in Sociology. Then I began studying a LLM in Gender, Conflict and Human Rights. After achieving both of these I decided to complete a PGCE at the University of Cambridge, studying Religious Education. I am currently working in a West London academy with 2000 students, teaching year 7-13 Sociology and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics. I am also the head of Key Stage 3 Religious Studies. I am also the head of Special Educational Needs (SEN) for the Social Science department.

I teach mixed ability class sets therefore that requires my lessons to be highly differentiated so to ensure maximum progress regardless of ability. Teaching in a school where 80% of student have English as a foreign language, I rely heavily upon retrieval practices and commonly use recall and dual coding techniques. I have a very calm and patient nature. I try hard to build a strong rapport with each of my students as I believe it is a fundamental part of teaching and learning. I currently teach students between the ages of 11-18 and have ample experience of KS3, GCSE and A-level teaching.
