About Riley
Hi! My name is Riley. I am from Beautiful BC and I graduated from University of Calgary with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a minor in History. I have lots of prior experience in tutoring subjects such as English, history, social sciences and geography! My goal as an educator is to provide students with the best learning experience possible so that they can take those skills, and apply them to not only their education, but to their everyday life! Learning should be fun and rewarding, and it is my goal to fulfill this for every single one of my students!

I like to focus my methodology on developing a unique lesson plan and approach for each student's learning style by developing a strong relationship with my students.
I have extensive experience using the Socratic method, a methodology that focuses on collaboration and asking questions. I find that this allows students to reach their deepest and most profound thoughts.
A typical lesson plan will begin with getting to know you (student!), and determining what approach will work best for you! From there, we will get to know your assignments and your teacher's expectations, and then begin our work on developing your skills as an expert historian (or, an exceptional student, if you prefer).
This lesson is intended for K-12 students who want to enhance their proficiency in reading, writing, and all things history!
