About OWEN
I am a History graduate who specialised in Modern History and Political History. I have an excellent academic background and achieved full marks in my Year 13 History coursework so I am able to engage with students and help them maximise their potential by improving their academic style of writing, source material and exam technique.
I have undertaken modules on a variety of modules including Medieval History, Local History, Early Modern History and my specialism, post-war British history. Having recently graduated, I know what examiners look for when assessing students and how to push for the best grades across subjects.
I have previous experience as a tutor. I helped one girl with her Year 13 History coursework and American History exam and through a combination of a strategic tutoring programme and her hard work, she was able to boost her grade from a B to an A grade.
I am currently working in a student-facing role at De Montford University where I talk to students on a daily basis. This has developed my ability to effectively engage with students and offer them scope for improvement.
