About Emma

I am a first-year Psychology undergraduate at the University of Bath with a strong academic background. I achieved 3 A* grades at A level in Psychology, Biology, and Geography, an A in Level 3 Core Mathematics, and grades 7–9 at GCSE. This gives me up-to-date knowledge of current exam specifications and expectations. I am committed to supporting each student’s progress and helping them reach their full academic potential.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, supportive, and tailored to each individual learner. I believe students learn best when they feel confident and comfortable, so I focus on creating a calm and encouraging environment where questions are always welcomed. I adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles, using clear explanations, worked examples, active questioning, and exam-focused practice. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing time to revisit challenging topics and reinforce understanding. For GCSE and A-level students, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, effective revision strategies, and developing independent study skills. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged when needed. Lessons can be delivered online or in person, depending on the student’s preference. My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students, typically aged 14–18, who want to improve their understanding, boost confidence, or achieve higher grades.
