About Bria
I’ve been teaching piano for over 5 years and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Collaborative Piano and Chamber Music. My lessons focus on creativity, versatility, and expression. I specialise in pop piano arranging, learning by ear, and mastering modern chord voicings. My teaching is flexible and student-centred, designed to help each person reach their goals. I love working with beginners building confidence and advanced students developing mastery. My classes cover multiple styles such as pop, rock, R&B, and contemporary worship. I emphasise the connection between listening, technique, and musical storytelling. Students learn how to make music their own through improvisation and arrangement. My approach is positive and hands-on, encouraging progress through discovery. I create an environment where students can take risks and grow. Every lesson brings new musical insights and creative challenges. I want each student to feel proud of their progress. Let’s start your journey and make music that truly reflects who you are.

My teaching approach is built around developing fluent readers who can sight-play confidently. I focus on systematic training that strengthens visual and kinaesthetic coordination. Lessons include interval drills, speed reading exercises, and rhythm work. Students learn how to interpret notation quickly and respond without hesitation. We practise identifying melodic and harmonic intervals by sight. I emphasise rhythmic stability through clapping and counting activities. Each step builds towards automatic reading fluency. My lessons are engaging, goal-driven, and adaptable. I work especially well with The Child Prodigy and The Hobbyist Adult, helping both challenge themselves musically. I encourage steady, focused practice with positive reinforcement. Students quickly notice progress in their reading speed and accuracy. My goal is to make new pieces feel familiar, not intimidating. You’ll play confidently, read fluently, and enjoy exploring fresh music.
