My path—from Illinois classrooms to leading hands-on camps—has always been about compassion and clarity. I believe students flourish when they feel brave enough to say “I don’t understand” and excited when learning finally clicks. Welcome—I’m Isla, and my biology sessions go far beyond the usual “workbook repetition.” My classes are an adventure, where every student’s question leads us somewhere new. We build strong foundations by relating science to what fascinates YOU: pets, sports, what you see on walks, or even favorite movies. Learning here is never a rush: we revisit tough spots, break things down into micro-steps, and use creativity (draw, write, build models) so biology feels like discovery, not a chore.
Each student’s growth is charted in small wins: short weekly review moments (“How would you teach this to your little brother?”), self-made diagrams, and a confidence checklist. Over 90% of my students have seen both grade improvement and found themselves loving science more. I care deeply about making every voice feel smart, heard, and proud of what they achieve.
